Brussels Airport Airside Facilities



Departures - Airside
    The Airside area at Brussels National is split into two areas - the Satellite serving the European Union 'Schengen' agreement countries (Gates C1 to C50) and the 'new terminal' (Gates A1 to A8 and B1 to B40) serving non-Schengen international destinations.


The Terminal (Gates A1 to A8 and B1 to B40)
    After passport control but before security is the tax free shopping area and most of the catering outlets.

Toilets: Upstairs on the mezzanine floor, or through security to the Departure gates.
Pay telephones: In various areas, including the walkway between the Departure gates.
Currency: GWK Bureau de Change in the shopping area. Sometimes closes early. Change money before going through passport control.
Smoking Area: Smoking is permitted in specific areas of catering outlets.
Postal Services: There is a mail box on the left as you clear passport control and enter the Airside lounge. Full postal facilities in the Arrivals area.
There is a seafood bar on the Departures level and two restaurants and a bar on the mezzanine level.

  • There are two small Coffee Corners beyond the security check area near Departure Gates 2 and 31 for a last minute refreshment before you board.


Shopping: The shopping area on the Departures level offers a reasonable selection of outlets. There are additional outlets upstairs on the Mezzanine level.

  • The Skyshop is split into a number of different outlets selling clothes, food, drink, perfumes, cameras, books, etc.

  • There are two small tax free Skyshops near the Departure gates beyond the security area.


The Satellite (Gates C1 to C50)
    The Satellite contains restaurants, bars and a good range of tax free shops.

Toilets: In the Satellite near the Departure gates.
Pay telephones: Available near the Departure gates.
The selection of catering outlets includes a self service restaurant and a bar.
