Domestic Arrivals - Airside
    After disembarking follow the signs for Baggage Reclaim. There is a Transfer Desk in the Baggage Reclaim area.
Luggage Trolleys/Carts: Plentiful and free.
Toilets: With baby change and disabled facilities in Baggage Reclaim.
Pay Phones: Located on left of entrance to Baggage Reclaim.




Domestic Arrivals - Landside
Luggage Trolleys: Free, numerous.
Toilets: Facilities with disabled and baby care needs are provided in the baggage reclaim area and at the end of the Arrivals lounge.
Pay Phones: Available in public lounge near exits. Free blue phones provided for airport information service.
Currency: One Bureau de Change, ICE open 07:00-19:00, and a Co-op Bank.
ATMs: Near steps to mezzanine level. Barclays, Link and NatWest machines cover most cards.
Information Desk: In Arrivals Hall and BA Terminal Arrivals.
Smoking Area: Smoking is allowed at Meeting Points and in some seated areas of lounges.
Postal Services: Mail boxes and stamp machine near stairs to mezzanine.
Left Luggage: Silverwings located in main Arrivals concourse. Also handles lost property. Open 06:00 - 22:00. £2 per item up to 12 hours.
Meeting Point: Relax at a table while you wait to meet and greet. Smokers can indulge and its near to the coffee at Rendezvous Café.
Food and Drink: One self service restaurant, Rendezvous Café.
Shopping: There is a hairdresser catering for men, women and children.
Car Rental: Major companies located opposite terminal under the multi-storey car park.
Hotel Reservations: There is a Thomas Cook booking desk in International Arrivals. For a list of airport hotels.
Parking: There is a link to the Short Stay car park and a bus to Long Stay parking outside the terminal. Car park pay machines and pay desk are near the exit doors.
    Don't forget that there are no car park payment points at car park vehicle exits.

Taxi: Taxi rank outside the terminal exit on forecourt.
Train: Access to walkway linking Terminal 1 with the Rail Station and Terminal 2 is from the mezzanine floor. Note - there is no longer a courtesy bus service to the Rail Station or Terminal 2.
    If you are heading for the Train Station from Domestic Arrivals allow for a 5-10 minute walk.
Bus service to Manchester city and other destinations leaves from Terminal 1 International Arrivals. Access from mezzanine floor.

Business Centre
    Located on the mezzanine floor between Domestic Arrivals and Departures. Open Monday to Friday 08:30 to 17:00.

    Everything from boardroom hire to message taking and mobile phones. Fax charges are cheaper than phone/fax machines in the lounges.
    Membership scheme earns a 15% discount on all services and gives joint membership with the London Heathrow Business Centre.


Spectators Terrace
    Steps near the Domestic end of Terminal 1. There is a lift in International Departures at the left hand end of the check-in hall. Admission is free. The Aviation Shop on the terrace caters for enthusiasts.





International Arrivals - Airside
    After disembarking follow the signs for Baggage Reclaim.

Toilets: With disabled facilities in Baggage Reclaim. No baby change facilities.
Pay Phones: In Baggage Reclaim.





International Arrivals - Landside
    After Immigration and Customs the main terminal arrival facilities are available.
Toilets: There are three toilets with disabled facilities and one with baby care (women only). Baby care is next to the catering area.
Pay Phones: Baggage Claim and Arrivals Hall are well provided with telephones located at frequent and convenient points.
Currency: Two Bureaux de Change, Thomas Cook open 06:30 to 22:00 and ICE open 05:00-20:00. Thomas Cook provides limited banking services for Midland; full banking service by Co-op Bank at ICE.
ATMs: American Express, Barclays and Midland. One opposite Left Luggage, the others next to photo booth in corridor to Departures.
Information Desk: In Arrivals Hall. Also information via blue phones is provided at various points. Tourist information desk in Arrivals hall near catering area open 09:00-17:30 Mon-Fri, 09:00-12:30 Sat.
Smoking Area: Smoking is allowed at Meeting Points and in some seated areas of lounges.
Postal Services: Full mail service in Arrivals Hall.
Left Luggage: Office located near corridor to Departures open 06:00-22:00, £2 per item up to 12 hours. Also deals with lost property.
Food and Drink: Coffee, snacks and light refreshments.
Shopping: Newspaper/books and a luggage shop.
Car Rental: All major companies located in main Arrivals hall.
Hotel Reservations: There is a Thomas Cook hotel booking desk in the Arrivals area. For a list of airport hotels.
Parking: Access to Short Stay car park is by stairs and lifts. Bus service to Long Stay outside the terminal. Car park pay machines inside Arrivals hall near lifts and stairs.
Taxi: Taxi rank on forecourt.
Train: There is a moving walkway to Terminal 2 and the Rail Station.
For the Bus Station go to the forecourt and turn right.
