By Car
    Stansted is on the M11 motorway at Junction 8. The M11 connects with the M25 London Orbital Motorway at Junction 27, approximately 20 minutes drive south of the airport.

    Journey time to central London is around 70 minutes.

Taxi
    Taxis must be booked at the desk in the International Arrivals area. There is no taxi rank at Stansted.

    Journey time to central London is around 70 minutes. Standard charges apply 24 hours a day.

Train
    There is a direct Stansted Express service from Stansted Airport to London Liverpool Street station. Trains run every 15 minutes Monday to Friday between 8:00 and 17:00 and every 30 minutes at other times. The journey time to Liverpool Street is 41 minutes.

    The first train leaves the airport at 06:00. Last train leaves the airport at 23:59.

    On Saturday and Sunday the service operates every 30 minutes. First train 06:00. Last train 23:59

    Journey time is around 40 minutes.

    Business Class: One way GBP£18. Return/round trip: GBP£31

    There is also a regular rail service from the airport to Cambridge, Ely, Peterborough, Leicester and Birmingham.



Bus
    The airport coach station is located in front of the terminal forecourt. Tickets can be bought at the coach desk inside the terminal or on the bus.

    Airbus route A6 serves Victoria Coach Station in central London from Stansted Airport. They operate roughly every 30 minutes, seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Journey time depending on traffic is around 1hr 40 minutes.

  • Fare: GBP£7 one-way; GBP£10 return/round trip.

    Jetlink coaches depart Stansted for Heathrow Airport and Gatwick Airport every hour.

    There are bus services from Stansted to major towns throughout the south and east.
