Train
A transfer bus service connects to the West Falls Church Orange Line Metrorail station. The transfer bus runs every 30 minutes from 5.45 am to 10.15 pm weekdays and 7.45 am to 10.15 pm weekends. Journey time from the airport to West Falls Church station is 25 minutes.
The Washington Metrorail is an efficient and inexpensive way of getting around DC. With the nearest station in West Falls Church it is not very handy for Dulles Airport though.
Bus
The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority bus service operates every hour from the Arrivals level Door 4 to L'Enfant Plaza metro station at D and 7th Streets SW. First bus is at 6.28 am, the last departs at 11.40 pm. Journey time is around 50 minutes.

Metrobus services are also available from West Falls Church Metrorail station to various DC locations.
