There is no train service direct to Dulles. The DC Metrorail Orange line goes as far as West Falls Church where a bus connects with the airport. The transfer bus runs every 30 minutes from 6.15 am to 10.45 pm weekdays and 8.15 am to 10.45 pm weekends. Journey time from West Falls Church station to the airport is 25 minutes.
The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority bus service operates from L'Enfant Plaza metro station at D and 7th Streets SW. Departures every hour from 5.33 am to 10.37 pm, journey time around 50 minutes.

Metrobus services are also available from various DC locations to the West Falls Church Metrorail station to connect with the Washington Flyer Express bus to Dulles.
