    The Chicago Transit Authority runs a 24 hour service - the Blue Line - from the airport to downtown Chicago.

    From Terminal 1, 2 and 3 Arrival areas follow the signs to the CTA station which is located on the lowest level of the Parking Garage in the main terminal area. Passengers at Terminal 5 take the ATS transfer train to Terminal 3.

    Blue Line stations Downtown include Washington, Monroe, Jackson and La Salle. The Orange Line to Midway Airport connects with the Blue Line at Clark/Lake station.

    Journey time downtown is around 45 minutes. Trains run every ten minutes during the day.

    The Blue Line train is a cheap and efficient way from O'Hare to downtown Chicago. For safety it's better not to use the train late at night.
